Narwhal Labs is a community and makerspace that encourages and supports creative building, learning, and experimentation.


Located in Bristol, Rhode Island, Narwhal Labs is a makerspace at TotalBoat Headquarters that provides public access to knowledge, community, tools and equipment several days a week.

Operation and Safety of Tools at Narwhal Labs

Covid-19 Safety

Narwhal Labs is open to members by appointment only. Appointments should be made at least 24 hours in advance.This enables contact tracing and restricting the number of members and staff in the lab to half what is allowed by RI state guidelines. We reserve the right to cancel and reschedule appointments. Masks that cover the mouth and nose must be worn at all times. We have disposable masks if you forget one. Safety glasses should be kept and reused by a single member, remember to mark yours with your initials. Touch surfaces on tools, work surfaces, and loaner laptops should all be sanitized before and after use with the supplied clean rags and alcohol sanitizing solution. Hand washing is encouraged and hand sanitizer is available. Please do not come in if you believe you have any sickness. Alert us if you test positive for Covid-19 so we can perform contact tracing with other members and staff you may have shared the space with.
